FARM

A farm is a place where peolpe grow palnts and keep animals. Small farms grow just enough to feed farmers and their families. bigger farms grow more food to sell to other people. Most of our food comes from these. the most common farm animals are cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, chickens, and horses.

Some farmers grow plants but do not keep animals. The most important food plants are grains, such as wheat and rice. Farmers also grow sugar, beans, fruit, vegetables, and cotton for making clothes.

 

Farm Animals

Cattle are kept for their milk, or for meat. They need good, juicy grass to eat, and shelter from bad weather. Sheep are raised for their thick, warm wool and their meat. they also eat grass but, unlike cattle, they can live on steep hillsides. there are huge sheep farms in Australia, Russia, China, and New Zealand.

Hogs, or pigs, are raised for their meat and skin. They eat almost anything. Goats provide milk and meat, and they can find food on even the poorest land. Chickens are raised for their eggs or for meat. They usually kept to do work on a farm. Bidfarms are rely on tractors and other machines.
